RONALD W. HOEPPNER SR., 72, of New Haven, died on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne after a three week battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Pleasant Township, Allen County, he was the son of the late Fred and Lula Hoeppner Sr. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Gar Creek, New Haven. Retiring in 2002 from B.F. Goodrich after 40 years of service, he also served his country in the Air National Guard. He was an avid gardener and his loving woodworking creations and his handyman/fix anything skills will be missed by everyone. He is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Beverly; children, Lisa (Don) Finch of Indianapolis and Ron (Amy) Hoeppner Jr. of Greenfield; son-in-law, Blaine Guenin of Greenfield; grandchildren, Amanda and Connor Finch, Vivian, Grant, Wilson, and Laurel Hoeppner, and Gage and Clay Guenin; and siblings, Lucille (Richard) Busch of Waynedale, Dolores (Floyd) Herdman of Huntertown, Wilma Housholder of Kendallville, and Kenneth Hoeppner of Woodburn. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Guenin, in 2011; and siblings, Vivian Hoeppner, Phyllis Dunfee, Carol Bixby, and Fred Hoeppner. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Gar Creek, 1910 N. Berthaud Road, New Haven, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Michael Blodgett officiating.
