What: Gathering to pull weeds and learn about local plant species.  Sample Garlic Mustard pesto for lunch!

When: Saturday, May 25th 9:00am- Noon

Where: Moser Park Nature Center, 601 W. Main St. New Haven, IN 46774

All are welcome to join a Naturalist from the New Haven Parks Department to pull the invasive weed, Garlic Mustard.  This plant is extremely easy to pull out of the ground.  Learn about the native species in our area and how they are helped by removing these “weeds.”  This is a fun and easy way to help your local wildlife and spend some time outdoors.  Wear closed toe shoes and bring gloves if you have them- some gloves will be available.  The event is appropriate for all ages.

Garlic Mustard is an invasive species but it is edible and quite delicious!  We will be serving a pasta salad with Garlic Mustard pesto for lunch!  Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to accompany your pasta!
