Canal Days Festival Artist to Release Full Length Album

If you were one of the estimated 4,000 people who came to Faith & Family Night at New Haven Canal Days on Saturday, June 8th, you probably caught the amazing opening act, Love & the Outcome, perform just prior to the Sidewalk Prophets at 8:15 pm on the Main Stage.

I can pretty much sum up their entire set in 1 word for those of you who were not able to make it out to Schnelker Park that night:  it was AWESOME!

I’ve been told by countless others as recently as yesterday how much they loved Love & the Outcome, too, so with this in mind, today’s news that L&TO is set to release their first full length self-titled debut album with Word Records is pretty gosh darn exciting!  (And to think, we got to see them first right here in little old New Haven, Indiana!)

Love & The Outcome was recently included in Billboard’s “Bubbling Under” feature on new and noteworthy acts and will release their self-titled debut album on August 27. The 11-track album recounts the highs and lows the couple vocalist Jodi King and bass player/vocalist Chris Rademaker have braved since departing their Canadian homeland, risking everything they owned to pursue their musical dreams.

The album features the duo’s debut single “He Is With Us,” which the duo memorably jammed to on the Canal Days main stage during Faith & Family Night.  The single has  skyrocketed to the Top 25 on Billboard’s Christian Songs chart and No. 10 on Canada’s CCRC chart in a mere month since its release.

L&TO’s self-titled debut, copProduced by Seth Mosley (Newsboys), Ben Glover (for KING & COUNTRY), David Garcia (TobyMac) and Jeff Pardo (Matthew West), balances Chris’ rock sensibilities with Jodi’s love of melodic pop artists. In addition, the pair’s own influence is revealed in the lyrics as they had a hand in writing each of the 11 tracks on the album.

“We want these songs to become the soundtrack to people’s lives, and hope that the truth of these songs goes beyond the thrill of the live show to plant a seed in people’s hearts: to go for the things that they might be afraid to go for and join this joyful revolution,” said King. “That’s the whole point. A life that requires faith is worth living, and a life on the edge is one where you live hand-in-hand and arm-in-arm with God. That’s what we’re living for.”

Currently Love & The Outcome are on the road playing dates around the country; they will return to Indiana to play the Indiana State Fair on August 11th, opening for award winning Australian-born brothers, Luke and Joel of for King & Country.  On August 31st, they will be just across the state line in Van Wert, Ohio opening for Hawk Nelson at the Van Wert County Fair.
