After taking lessons, he bought his first airplane a 150 Cessna. In 1979, brought together by friends, he met his love and wife of 33 years, Linda. They were best friends and adventurers; they went on many special trips. In 1990, they moved to Iron River and purchased the Red Motel and operated it for 20 years. Two of their favorite places were Grand Marais and anywhere with their grandson. David left behind his wife, Linda (Houser) Trzynka; daughter, Shelley Knabe (Jody) and a very special grandson, Eric of Mason, Wis.; son, Jeffery Grabner; grandson, Terry Grabner of Fort Wayne; parents, Eugene and FloRose Trzynka; brothers, Tim (Linda), Michael (Sue), Mark (Jill), and Joel (Peggy); and sisters, Carla (Gayle) and Susan (Mike); special godson, Matt Trzynka; and many nieces and nephews.
