Pre-K Program:  Butterflies & Insects   Tuesday, July 1, 2014 10 am – 11 am

Imagine what your child will experience while learning in an outdoor classroom filled with ponds, woodlands and fields. Children are born naturalists. They explore the world with all of their senses, experiment in the environment, and communicate their discoveries to those around them. This program builds on children’s inherent curiosity about the world by using hands-on, nature-based activities. Let your children unravel the wonders of the natural world through a balance of self- and teacher-directed activities. This program offers nature-based, hands-on preschool programs geared toward children 5 years of age and younger. Each student attends class with a parent or caregiver.

Explore the world of butterflies by creating fun crafts and going on a butterfly and insect hunt.  Do you know how to tell the difference between a beetle and a bug? Learn about different bug habitats around the pond and woodlands while we hike through Moser Park.
