ROBERT A. TUTTLE, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Myron and Gertrude (Hartman) Tuttle. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. The Korean War Navy veteran was a past board member of American Legion Post 330, past president of the Eagles 3164, and a member of Howard Bandelier VFW 2457. He retired from the restaurant industry in 1995 as a restaurant manager and certified master baker where he worked at Azar’s for 18 years and G.C. Murphy for 23 years. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Margaret Mary (Bishop) Tuttle; children, Kathleen (Michael) Hamrick, Robert (Penny) Tuttle both of New Haven, Cynthia (Steven) Treesh, Pamela (Marshall) Manoloff, Thomas (Patty) Tuttle, Michael (Penni) Tuttle all of Fort Wayne, Carole (Jim) Turnbo of Osceola, and Tina (Chris) Gaby of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; siblings, Thomas (Myra) Arnold of Fort Wayne, Carol (Charles) Whittenberger of Akron, and Annette Kline of Silver Lake; 26 grandchildren; and 29 (almost 31) great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Tuttle in 2010; granddaughter, Meagan Tuttle in 1989; siblings, Jack Tuttle, Lawrence Tuttle, Samuel Arnold, and Janice Smith. Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Wednesday, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven with a vigil at 8 p.m. Burial is in the Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
