THOMAS WALTER TRACEY, 81, passed away on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Heritage Park Health Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Thomas was a inspector with Dana Corporation for 36 years, retiring in 1995. He was a U.S. Marine Corps. Korean War veteran and a member of American Legion Post 330. He attended First Wayne Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Phyllis A. Tracey of New Haven; sons, Kim Allen (Teresa) Tracey and Timothy P. (Violet) Tracey, both of New Haven; daughter, Lori Ann (Kirk) Cerny of Ashburn, Va.; 10 grandchildren, Robert, Austin, Allyson, Morgan, Courtney, Parker and Chad Tracey, Jaclyn (Ian) Wuest, Ryan and Shawn Cerny; and brothers, Harry D. (Sharon) Tracey of New Haven and Jerry L. (Treva) Tracey of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by son, Michael T. Tracey; parents, Raymond W. and Gertrude A. (Rhoades) Tracey; sister, Stella Nowak; and brother, William R. Tracey. Service is 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Greg Enstrom officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to First Wayne Street United Methodist Church.
