SHIRLEY COLLINS, 64, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 12:26 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born on July 12, 1950 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Albert and Lavinia A. (Fletcher) Croy. She grew up in New Haven and attended local schools, including New Haven High School. She was a former member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #330 in New Haven. Shirley enjoyed gardening, watching NASCAR, gambling at Firekeepers Casino, and she absolutely loved playing Bingo. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Will Collins of Fort Wayne; three daughters, Renee Collins and Jennifer (Brett) Lepper, both of Fort Wayne, and Dawn (Bryan) White of New Haven; granddaughter, Allison Lepper of Fort Wayne; three siblings, David L. (Barbara) Croy of New Haven, Deborah S. (“Butch”) Saylor of Avon Park, Fla. and John O. (Becky) Croy of Fort Wayne; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Larry E. Croy. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday at DeMoney-Grimes a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Pastor Andy Jellison officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.
