ANNA M. CHILDRESS, 90, of New Haven, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at home with her family by her side. Born in Greeneville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Becky (Lewis) Olinger. She was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church. She retired from Kwik-Lok, after 10 years of service. Anna loved gardening, canning, and especially her family. She is survived by her children, Charles W. Childress of Clermont, Fla., Gary M. Childress of New Haven, Wanda McVeigh of White Plains, Md. and Donna Ward of Bryantown, Md.; sisters, Ruth Stratton of New Haven and Alma Jaynes of Limestone, Tenn.; grandchildren, Nick Childress and Amy VanMeter, and eight others; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Millard Childress in 2009; three sisters; and one brother. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F.
