Home Education (Homeschooling) Resource Expo will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. May 16, 2015.

Fort Wayne’s largest homeschool networking organization is sponsoring an education expo featuring an Exhibit Hall with more than 68 vendors and 22 workshops.

What: More parents than ever are choosing parent-directed, privately-funded education for their children. The homeschool network is growing throughout Indiana and the Fort Wayne area, as parents join together to provide opportunities for their school-age children to learn.

Who: Fort Wayne Area Home Schools (FWAHS) is the promoter for this event. Fifteen speakers will address issues relating to many facets of home education.

Why: This is an opportunity to attend an orientation meeting which will provide new and prospective homeschoolers with the basic information needed to begin educating their children at home, to view and purchase educational materials directly from textbook publishers, to attend how-to workshops, and to subscribe to a quarterly publication which publicizes events such as commencement ceremonies, achievement testing, drama camps, and cottage classes for homeschoolers in the Fort Wayne area. There will be many home educating parents to talk with.

Who Should Attend: Any person considering home education, current homeschoolers, and anyone who is interested in learning more about this growing trend in education.

When: Saturday, May 16, 2015, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Where: Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. 4000 Parnell Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Expo Hall I. Use the main entrance.
