Associated Churches Military Families program delivers Thanksgiving meals to local military bases

Associated Churches Military Families program is delivering Thanksgiving meals to the 293rd Infantry Regiment at 10:00 am on Monday, November 23. Also on Monday at 1:00 pm, meals will be delivered to the 122nd Fighter Wing. Meals donated are sponsored partly by McMahon’s Best One Tire and Auto Care. “Receiving meals from Associated Churches is not only a huge help to families, but also a boost of morale,” said Connie Douthat, Airmen & Family Readiness Program Manager at the Indiana Air National Guard. “Nobody wants to go without a holiday meal, and we are so blessed that families can go another year without worrying about buying a turkey for Thanksgiving.” Military Families, an Associated Churches program, has provided holiday meals for 6 years. Volunteers will pack the holiday meals on Saturday, November 21 at 9:00 am at the Associated Churches warehouse on 602 E Wayne Street. The boxes of holiday meals will be unloaded at each military base.
