LEAH SCHMUCKER, 82, of New Haven, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at her home. Born in Allen County, Leah was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her children, Ernest (Ruth) Schmucker, Edwin (Sarah) Schmucker, Melvin (Leanna) Schmucker, Jonas (Naomi) Schmucker, Joan (James) Lengacher, Mary (Jonas) Lengacher, and Naomi (Steve) Schwartz all New Haven, and Leah (Sam) Graber of Grabill, Ind.; 41 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha (Albert) Schmucker of New Haven, Ind.; brother, Fred (Rosa) Wittmer of Grabill, Ind.; sisters, Mary Ann (Peter) Zehr of Grabill, Ind., and Amanda (Martin) Schmucker of New Haven, Ind.; brother, John (Betty) Wittmer of Grabill, Ind.; brother-in-law, James Schmucker of St. Joe, Ind.; brother, David (Mary) Wittner of Grabill, Ind.; sister, Amelia (Sam) Schwartz of South Whitley, Ind.; and brothers, Ben (Betty) Wittmer Jr. of Woodburn, Ind. and Edwin (Ann) Wittmer of Grabill, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Emma Wittmer Sr.; husband, Christian Schmucker; and sister, Kathryn Schmucker. Service is 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at 11630 Doty Road, New Haven (IN 46774), with Bishop Jonas Schmucker officiating. Calling is from Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 until time of service at the home. Burial in Milan Center Amish Cemetery, New Haven.
