Join other gardeners at Havenhurst Park, 211 N. Rufus St. New Haven, IN for a free exchange of plants. Set aside extra seedlings, divisions, or full grown plants of any type, then bring them down to swap for something new. Plants should be healthy, separated into individual containers, and labeled with either the common or botanical name. Bring a box or bag in which to carry your plants home. Call Kelle at 312-6175 with any questions.

Special Request – Miss Virginia’s Mission House of Fort Wayne is looking for large pots and containers in good condition for this year’s growing season. They are a non-profit food bank that encourages inner city residents to grow their own fresh vegetables at home. Often times this type of gardening is referred to as “back porch” gardening.  If you have any pots or containers suitable for growing tomatoes, pepper plants, etc. that you would like to “rehome” please bring them to the plant swap and they will be donated to Miss Virginia’s Mission House.
