Charles “Porky” Holt, a member of the New Haven High School Athletic Hall of Fame passed away Monday at age 91. “Porky” was a 1942 graduate of New Haven and played both baseball and basketball. His 1942 team was the first baseball team at New Haven and enjoyed a perfect 14-0 season. After military service in WW II, Porky attended Ball State and was a member of their baseball program. Holt was most widely known, however, as a basketball coach at Monmouth High School in Adams County where he won 4 straight sectionals in the mid 50s while winning 83 games in four years. Funeral services are at St. John Flatrock,Saturday at 9:30 am, with visitation an hour before. Friends will be received Friday, June 17 from 2-5 and 6-8 at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur
