JUANITA FLETCHER, 85, of Corpus Christi, formerly of New Haven, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at her residence in Corpus Christi. Born Oct. 9, 1931, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Austin and Anna (Morris) Winchester. She graduated from New Haven High School and then married her husband of 26 years, Ernest Fletcher Sr. in Fort Wayne. Juanita was a professional at cake decorating and taught cake decorating at Country Kitchens in Fort Wayne. She decorated cakes at Scott’s and Meijer in Fort Wayne for numerous years. Juanita also had a skill for airbrushing cakes and creating life-like portraits on the cakes. She enjoyed painting portraits and outdoor sceneries. Survivors include her son, Allen and Joanne Springer of Fort Wayne and Norman and Lindy Fletcher of Detroit, Mich.; daughter, Ellexis (Jeff Greene) of Corpus Christie, Texas; grandsons, Todd Ornsby of Bluffton, Heath Ault of Fort Wayne, Joel Fletcher , Matthew Fletcher and Joshua Fletcher, all of South Bend; brother, Hank (Mary) Winchester of California; sister, Irene Jones of Fort Wayne; brother, Leroy (Vicki) Winchester of New Haven; sisters, Mary (Hubert) Williams of Columbia City and Carol Rice of Cummins, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband; and brothers, Norman and Vernon Winchester. Funeral service is noon Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at First Assembly of God, 1400 West Washington Center Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Ron Hawkins officiating.
