Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne Awards $35,000 to fund the various programs of Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County.
Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County has been awarded a grant in the amount of $35,000 by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.  These funds will be used to support the general operations of Associated Churches.
The Community Foundation grant will be used to support the various programs of Associated Churches which focuses on two key areas: basic needs and youth and family support.  For basic needs, Associated Churches provides emergency food to those in need. For youth and family services, Associated Churches has A Baby’s Closet (an incentive program for parents to attend classes and prenatal care) and Rising Stars (partnering community organizations to support the needs of local elementary schools).
Rev. Roger Reece, Executive Pastor, states, “The Community Foundation’s investment into our county will help meet the needs of emergency food relief, support young mothers at A Baby’s Closet, and help provide parenting classes in our Risings Stars program. This investment of human capital will have far reaching benefits that will be a blessing for years to come.”
Since 1944, Associated Churches has filled the gap to help those most in need in the community of Fort Wayne and Allen County.  Today, Associated Churches is a unique
