At the May 16th School Board meeting, three students from the East Allen Alternative School presented their ideas on games with a New Haven twist. Leading off was Travis Mash, who explained his team’s game, “New Havenopoly”. Following him was Chandler Schriber, whose game was “New Havenland”. Finally, Chase Silvis finished up with “Battle New Fort”, and included a video presentation with his game. These games, based loosely on an idea by Principal Jeff Kline, are part of Mr. Troy Fansler’s and Mr. Kent Goeglein’s Project-Based Learning classes and were designed to give the New Haven Chamber of Commerce some ideas on how to promote the city of New Haven to both residents and tourists of all ages.
