City of New Haven Hosts Public Open House

Monday, July 17, 2017 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

New Haven Community Center (Orchard Room) 7500 S.R. 930 East, Fort Wayne, IN 46803

The City of New Haven will host a Public Open House for area residents of New Haven on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Orchard Room of the New Haven Community Center located at 7500 S.R. 930 East in Fort Wayne. Mayor Terry McDonald, New Haven Police Chief, Henry McKinnon and other representatives will come together and conduct an open house for all residents of New Haven. This open house is being offered to help provide an open dialog between members of the community and city officials concerning race relations in the City of New Haven.

Mayor Terry McDonald will kick off the meeting beginning at 5:00 p.m. Mayor McDonald said, “Everyone benefits when elected officials, representatives of the Police Department, and citizens in communities like New Haven come together and learn about what’s going on in their city.” New Haven Police Chief Henry McKinnon added, “We plan to meet with New Haven residents, have open discussion and take questions about race relations involving the police department, city services, and the public perception.”
