The New Haven Police Department is now accepting applications for Full Time Patrol Officers. Qualified applicants must be 21 to 35 years of age. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid Indiana driver’s license. The City of New Haven forecast there will be two openings for the position of Full-Time Officer in 2018. Successful applicants will be placed on an eligibility list for potential openings in 2018 and that list will remain in effect for two years.  Probationary Patrolman (1st Year) $42,285
 Patrolman (12 months – 18 months) $45,222
 Patrolman First Class (18 months service) $49,429
Shifts
Four (4) days on and two (2) days off rotation. Seniority shift bidding conducted once per calendar year.
