Indiana Motor Truck Association (IMTA) Presents Eight Master Truck Driver Awards
Eight professional truck drivers for Genova Products, Inc., a plumbing and building materials manufacturer, were presented with the IMTA’s Certified Master Truck Driver (MTD) award at their annual safety meeting at the Ramada Inn on E. Washington Center Road. This brings the number of certified MTDs, from IMTA members, to 1,134. The MTD program recognizes the trucking industry’s top professional drivers who have compiled a career record of excellence through safety, professionalism, and service. Only 2% of CDL holders in Indiana will ever meet the qualifications to be certified as a Master Truck Driver. When you see the Master Truck Driver logo you know you are sharing the road with a driver who has an outstanding safety record.

To be nominated and subsequently certified as a Master Truck Driver an individual must have either one million accident-free miles or ten years of accident-free driving, be violation free for the past three years, have a record of educational or community service activities, and be employed by an
IMTA member company. These Master Truck Drivers represent 29.5 million miles and 219 years of safe drive on our Hoosier and national highways and byways. The IMTA commends them for the dedication to their profession and for Moving America Forward!
