ROBERT “BOB” C. CARNEY, 63, of Monroeville, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, following an extended illness. Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late George and Mary Carney. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church Besancon, New Haven. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 296. He owned Billy’s Downtown, in Zulu for 25 years and was an avid Komet Hockey and Purdue University fan. He is survived by his daughters, Angie (Bryan) Russell of Wilmington, N.C. and Jaime (Jerry) Slate of Fort Wayne; siblings, Michael Carney and Cindy (John) Roberson, both of Fort Wayne; loving companion, Cheryl Voirol-Ort of Monroeville; and her children, Jason Voirol of Hoagland and Stephanie (Shawn) Parks of Woodburn; grandchildren, Kaylie, Gavin, Reece, Nathan, and Raegan; former wife, Pam Forbing of Fremont; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Janice Zaiser. Prayer service is 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at St. Louis Catholic Church – Besancon, 15535 Lincoln Highway East, New Haven. Father Steve Colchin officiating.
