New Haven Recycling Information

For city residents who are choosing to participate in recycling, the following information is about National Serv-All’s recycling program.

BINS
With National Serv-All recycling service, you will receive two 18-gallon recycling bins.  One bin is brown, and one is yellow.  The brown bin is for all paper and fiber materials, and the yellow bin is for tin cans, aluminum cans, aluminum food trays, glass containers, and plastic containers #1 and #2.  Below is a list of items that will be picked up along with a list of restricted items.

▪ Computer and copier paper

● No hard bound books                                                          ● No plastic or film bags
● No milk cartons or ice cream cartons                                ● No Styrofoam
                                                                                                ● No aerosol cans

COLLECTION TIMES
Your recycled items will be picked up every other week. We ask that you place your recycle bins no more than 5 feet from the curb before 6:00 am the morning of your scheduled pick up day to ensure you are not missed. If you are missed, we ask that you call National Serv-All immediately (747-4117) to schedule a pick up.

 

HOLIDAYS
If your scheduled recycling pick up day falls on one of the holidays listed below, your pick up will be delayed by one day. Additionally, any day following the holiday will also be delayed by one day.
