Dawg PAC Getting Ready for School Year

The New Haven High School Dawg PAC (Parents and Community) have already scheduled two events for the upcoming school year. The first event is a meeting to discuss this year’s agenda. Parents and community members are invited to join the current members to discuss programs, projects, and ideas to improve the environment and achievement of New Haven High School. Dawg PAC President Bill Walls also encourages parents from the middle and elementary schools to get involved in the high school’s PAC organization. This way they can influence the future school of their children before they get there.
The PAC has also organized the year’s first fundraiser. The fundraiser will be held at Buffalo Wild Wings off of Maysville Road on Sept. 15th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Any food purchase made during this event, Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 10% of the sales to the Dawg PAC. The first $1,000 raised will be donated to the Student Benefit fund, a fund that rewards students for achieving special honors or going above and beyond the normal routine. The second $1,000 will go towards landscaping the front entrance of the school, a project that will cost more than $8,000.
