Over the past few months, New Haven High School’s parent organization, the Dawg PAC, has been establishing itself at the high school and in the community. The PAC currently has many projects underway.
Currently, the PAC is organizing an Ultimate Frisbee contest with the help of student Quentin Burnett. Registration opened April 26th. The cost is $80 per team of 7 players; 10 games will be played. There will be a captains meeting for the event on May 7th. The games will be played May 16rh.
The PAC is also working with Senior Michelle Bollman on setting up a senior breakfast. They expect bids from 4 local restaurants to be in by April 30th. In addition, the Pac will be conducting an M&M and Macaroni contest for staff and students starting April 30 and running through June 4.
The PAC is also looking for more parents and community members to become involved in the organization. They still need help with many projects including tutoring for students, fund raising and scholarship funds, and school appearance improvements. If you would like to volunteer your time in our community’s youth, contact Bill Walls, Dawg PAC president, at 385-4833 or come to the meeting on May 13th at 6 p.m. at the high school
